What Makes a Quiet Air Conditioner

Having an air conditioner that makes a lot of noise can be distracting to say the least.
From not being able to hear the TV to talking on the phone loud appliances such as A/C units can be very annoying.

Often tightening down bolts that are letting the unit rattle about can go a long way in helping the noise level.
Of course build quality matters and having a known good manufacture is always a good idea.
No matter how good a unit is built though shipping and installation can loosen bolts and tweak a unit so it makes more noise.

Mini splits are a good option when it comes to making low noise levels since the noisy components such as the compressor can be mounted away from a home.
The only noise levels a mini split makes is from the internal blower which spreads cold or hot air into a home.
Reading review on units is always a good idea on a forum or sites such as Amazon to see if they are a good fit for your home.
